The awards ceremony took place last night at the Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen. 280 attended the sold-out event, which welcomed journalist and BBC Radio Scotland presenter, Stephen Jardine, as host.
Balvenie St. Ice Cream was up against tough competition in the Best New Retail Product category, winning with their Luxury Single Malt Whisky Ice Cream; ‘Sweet & Sexy’, ‘Rich & Fruity’ and ‘Smoky & Peaty’.
Balvenie St. luxury single malt whisky ice cream is available as ‘3 Casks of Character’ and is packaged ready to retail in 125ml portions complete with a spoon-in-lid as well as 1 litres. They are made using fresh double cream and locally sourced milk and some of the finest Scottish single malt whisky drams you will find!

Balvenie St. Ice Cream parlour opened in 2013 in the heart of Dufftown, the Malt Whisky Capital of the World. Since then, regular visits to Highland Games and Galas confirmed its whisky ice cream was a popular choice, many asking where they could buy it, leading to its Retail launch in 2017.
North East Scotland has an excellent base for growth in food, drink, agriculture and seafood. It’s a significant part of the region’s economy, directly employing more than 22,000 people. Excluding the whisky sector, it contributes an estimated 20% of Scotland’s food and drink industry output.
The awards are delivered in partnership with Opportunity North East (ONE) and Aberdeenshire Council.
